The2025 London Marathon marked a turning point in the history of running. On April 27, this iconic event brought together more than 56,000 finishers, setting a new world record for participation, ahead of even the legendary New York Marathon.
But that's not all: Tigst Assefa, the Ethiopian runner, also put in an impressive performance, achieving a monumental feat by running the marathon in 2:15:50, setting a new women's world record in a women-only race.
